Mother's Day

AJ shared his cooties with Caden and his beloved mother... so we spent the day in bed. But we're better today, so it's all good. I got some much needed rest, and the boys got to just "hang out with dad."

Only 17 teaching days left for this year, so I'll be rushing around like a maniac getting the yards ready for 7 team parties, and 6 class parties! OY! But, it's so much fun to see the kids all crazy and excited. It's also a BIG motivation to get a few of those things on the "to-do" lists actually get crossed off. The hard part will be in deciding which projects to tackle first, and which ones I'll be ok with not getting done... because the reality is... there's NO way we'll have time to do it all.

The most important party we'll be hosting is the the twins 8th grade graduation party. I want it to be really nice for them because they are the best niece and nephew we could have!

I have learned that life can be taken at a moments notice and I loved your comment about hugging the boys!

Hope you are feeling better. Sounds nice to spend the day in bed, unless you were super sick. Good luck with all the parties!

Oh happy day!! 17 more teaching days left. I'm a former first grade teacher and boy how I love that end of year countdown!!!! I always had a special bulletin board of some kind and we would rip on these numbers as we counted down to the last day of school. My students just thought I was doing it for them. It was all for me, baby!! :) Hope you feel better soon. Girl, you have quite a few parties coming up... wish I could type some help for you over the blog. I have two boys and think I'm busy... I can just imagine how much running around you are having to do. Good luck with everything and when you get stressed, just keep thinking... 17 more days, 17 more days! :) ~Jill

I know what you mean. I have a high school graduation open house on June 28th. My to-do list is a mile long. I'm sure all will not get done. Good luck with you to-do list.
