Dirty Carnival

My boys have always loved a good mud fight... so I knew this would be a great picture for the Dirty Boy Carnival...

What I didn't know ...
Was that I'd have to look through all of these:

and all of these...

just to find some "dirty pictures" of my boys.

I'm quite certain my boys were dirty all the time when they were little... so I was totally dumbfounded that I couldn't find more "proof" of that in their baby scrapbooks...

I'm not kidding... you'd think I never let them get dirty! (Tony didn't, but I did... I know I did... apparently I just didn't take enough pictures of it... because they aren't there!)

Each boy has a white album for their first year... and they all have a different color from age 1 to 5, and I "tried" to keep each year to one album until they reached school.

Now they have school albums, vacation albums, and sports albums...

AHHH... that would be if I ever get all these pages...

and these pages...
and these pages...

into their respective albums...

sometime before their 18th birthday... at which time... 'unlike' what my father told me...

"I'll give them a road map and a sack lunch"...

I'm going to give them the map, the lunch, and --- 37 scrap booking albums.

ummmh...

What do you think about that plan???

Thanks to this blog: http://boysrulemylife.blogspot.com/ for the great trip down memory lane... it really was fun to get all these books out and look through them together!!!

Wow, that's a lot of albums. Looks like you have a lot of work a head of you. I wish I had the patience to scrape book like you. Amazing!

Holy Guacamole! That's a lot of scrapbooking! I am sooooo jealous though - I only wish that I could hand each kid even ONE album when they turn 18. Since starting to homeschool last year, I've not had time for even ONE page.... :-(

The dirty pics that you found were worth the effort though!

Ohh you are so like me.
I have so many photo albums it's not funny. I do store photos on the computer but still have to get them copied off for the boys to have one day.

We were taking video footage of our boys to give to them for their 18th's. Only thing is we haven't made much time to take it of the
4th and keep saying we must do it.
This weekend I WILL

PS glad I'm not the only one who loves photographing her boys !

WOW! That is so wonderful that you have kept up with all the boys and what a handful of pics they will have to cherish.
You are an amazing scrapbooker as well, those pages were amazing. I think that I will have to take some tips from you!

Those pictures are fabulous! So cute!

Wow! Holy scrapbooks, Batman!
I have a baby book for each boy but then after that all the pics go in family albums. It would just be too much for me to keep up with any other way.

Wow! That is some kind of scary impressive! I've been saying that I'm going to try scrapbooking "one day"- and I'm still hoping that day will come!
Looks like you have it down! =D

I always love to read comments...
but usually don't respond. However, the guilt factor insists I clarify...

Yes... I have lots of albums -- none of them are finished.

My "future" goal is to have all these albums for the boys... they certainly don't all exist yet... but they will... thanks mostly to my mom's store.

And for the record... I'm not even close to being caught up; but I enjoy the race to try!

My hubby spends LOTS of "boy time" with the kids... so I'm very fortunate to have the time. He makes sure I have it... b.c. a happy mom- makes for a happy wife--

and we all know what that means... H.A.P.P.Y. HUBBY...

Muddy boys. Know NOTHING about them. The dogs have muddied up my house more than my girls ever have!!! That is a lot...of...scrapbook...pages! Good luck!

Wow! Look at all those pictures. Makes me want to start scrap booking.
I can't believe all the photos!
Love the muddy boy pics! ( especially 'cause they're not mine!)

I love the muddy layout!

Thank you so much for your comment on my 'damage control' post. It reinforced what I have already been thinking/doing, just not all of the time. Sometimes, like that day, it is just WAY easier to do it myself. I have to say, I agree with what you said, though. Thanks!

You are amazing. Even with one child I wasn't that on top of things.

Currently I have a gazillion pictures on the computer from the last 3 years and zero printed out.

I'm relying on the fact that the boys will consider my blog as their scrapbook because I think that is the closest I am getting.

Holy, moly, that's a lot of albums. Thanks for visiting my design blog!

My daughter has one for birth to one year. She's 21 months...and I've done up to 4 weeks....and I'm due in 13 with number 2. Can we say unfinished project?

Maybe I'll work on it tonight!

Thanks for visiting my blog. Your boys are ADORABLE!!! I enjoy scrapbooking too and other paper crafting. Finding the time is the hard part. Hope to see you around!

oh my word!! i am so happy to read this because i am headed on that same plan! and i have always joked that my daughter-in-laws are going to hate me when i send off my sons with their gazillion albums!
you give me hope that i can keep up even with 4! i've fallen behind in the past year but hopefully i will catch up later when i don't have as many little "helpers" ;)

At least you've got the pages done, just need to get them in the albums. I love what you said about sending them out the door with 37 albums.

I hope my boys appreciate them scrapbooks. Sometimes I think I'll just keep them at MY house. But they do enjoy looking at them even now.

p.s. Great mud fight pictures.
